In 1956 on a desert not far from Las Vegas, the military conducts nuclear tests. Dr. Alexander Brown begins his career as a neurologist there, overseeing a top-secret project: studying the soldiers’ stress resistance near a hazardous atomic testing base. Back in the present day, Dr. Brown has become a wealthy and renowned neurologist, married to the beautiful Paula. Everything seems to be perfect, yet Paula struggles to comprehend her husband’s uncontrollable anxieties.
