At the Paris-Orly Airport in France, an Iranian woman, Marjane ‘Marji’ Satrapi, looks at the flight schedule; her eyes come to rest on a listing bound for Tehran. When the 1979 Iranian revolution against the Shah of Iran begins, her middle-class family is thrilled and participates in the rallies, but Marji is forbidden to attend.

After being away for 15 years, undercover cop Samson Brion returns to his hometown in Brittany. Lila, the owner of an online dating agency who is trying to keep her business afloat, is unhappy to see him back, especially when she learns that he is her new tenant. However, when a series of suspicious deaths occur in the village, all of the victims being clients of Lila’s agency, she becomes grateful for Samson’s presence as a cop.
