Storyline
The story starts with their first date in 1949, and follows two parallel tracks: the Reagans’ rise to power and their growing distance from their children. This is maintained throughout the story. The most captivating aspect of the story is the portrayal of Reagan’s political transformation from a loyal Democrat to a Republican Governor and President, while still maintaining that Reagan is not depicted as someone who changes his principles for personal gain.
