Storyline
Back in 1955, a group of five young Mexican-American caddies, driven by their passion for golf, set out on a mission to learn how to play the sport. Their determination led them to create their own golf course in the heart of the South Texas desert. Despite facing challenges like outdated and subpar equipment, as well as a lack of professional instruction, they fearlessly took on wealthy all-white teams. Against all odds, they emerged victorious, defeating their competitors and clinching the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship.
