Storyline
The journey of Jim McNeely, a young man who enters the bustling and cutthroat oilfields of West Texas in 1939. In a state overflowing with oil and fueled by ambition, McNeely settles into a small-town community slowly recovering from the aftermath of the Great Depression. However, his path to success is obstructed by various challenges, such as overbearing bosses, unenthusiastic oil tycoons, and women who are attracted to him for his charisma.
