Storyline
Katie Lapp has been severed from her close-knit Plain family and community in the terrible trauma known as the shunning. She is now alone in a world of compassion and greed, kindness and betrayal. However, she is unaware that the guy she loves has plans to return to his Amish family and to her as she ventures into the strange and occasionally hazardous English world.
