Storyline
King, a prominent sports journalist from California who is divorced, is a terrific find. Son David, his pride and delight, abruptly announces that he is giving up baseball and, consequently, his scholarship. Actually, he plans to leave college and attend an arts university. Through Peyton McGruder, a hearts columnist and King’s lover, he learns the truth. In lieu of settling down, she focuses on catching up after discovering Christine, the daughter she abandoned as an impulsive young mother.
