Storyline
What significance lies in a name, if not a connection to murder? Münster stumbles upon the lifeless body of a young woman in her residence and startles the intruder who is still within the premises. Despite the murderer managing to escape, a rare book with an inscription from the perpetrator is discovered at the crime scene. As another victim emerges, Van Veeteren’s knowledge of literature is challenged, revealing that they are confronting a serial killer who selects names from 19th-century crime novels for his victims.
