Storyline
Rita Fiore enlists Spenser’s services to investigate the alleged involvement of repeat offender Ellis Alves in the murder of a college student. As Spenser delves deeper into the case, he encounters opposition from various quarters, including the investigating officer and the parents of the victim’s boyfriend. To complicate matters further, a deadly contract killer named Rugar sets his sights on eliminating Spenser.
