Storyline
Living with her family in a small hut on a Nepalese mountain, thirteen-year-old Lakshmi is tragically trafficked to a brothel in India. Despite her harrowing situation, she refuses to give up and instead hatches a plan to escape. The movie provides an eye-opening perspective on the issue of modern-day slavery that extends far beyond Lakshmi’s story.

“If your publisher is jumping up and down at the thought of your novel, it's because he's picturing the movie poster on the side of the bus.”
