Storyline
Marianne Dashwood is very open about her feelings when she falls for the charming but problematic John Willoughby, disregarding her sister Elinor’s caution that her impulsive behavior might lead to gossip and rumors. Elinor, who is more aware of societal expectations, has a hard time hiding her own romantic disappointment, even from those closest to her.
