Storyline
After the sudden death of a childhood friend, Stockholm lawyer Rebecka Martinsson returns to her remote hometown above the Arctic Circle for the funeral. Although the death had been previously ruled an accident, Rebecka discovers evidence of murder and seeks the help of her police friend, Anna Maria Mella. As they work together to uncover the killer, Rebecka realizes that what they uncover might have a profound effect on her.
