Storyline
At the beginning of 8th grade, Pierre Anthon and his classmates experience a profound shift when Pierre Anthon proclaims life’s lack of meaning, abandons school, and retreats to a tree, refusing to descend. This proclamation triggers an existential turmoil among his peers, who embark on a quest to prove him wrong. They assemble a “heap of meaning” containing their most cherished possessions, leading to a perilous, unsettling, and contentious exploration of what truly holds significance in life.

“A movie is not a book. If the source material is a book, you cannot be too respectful of the book. All you owe to the book is the spirit.”
