Storyline
J. Edgar Hoover, the director of the FBI, saw Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a threat to the status quo that needed to be discredited as soon as he became a powerful voice in the American civil rights movement. This breathtaking film exposes the Bureau’s relentless effort to monitor and discredit Dr. King for the remainder of his life, as well as the unsettling relevance of the issues discussed there to our current political climate.
