Storyline
The Scottish battle hero Macbeth sets off a cycle of violence with his irrational ambition. The magical prophecy of three witches prompts Macbeth, who is prodded by his Lady, to kill King Duncan and take the throne. In order to maintain the shaky crown on his head, Macbeth descends even further into murder and moral depravity. The troubled Macbeth struggles to avert yet another horrible prophecy that could ultimately bring about his demise while his wife crumbles away in guilt and madness.
