Storyline
Gaetan Dugas, an openly gay individual, found himself facing the onset of what was later referred to as ‘gay cancer’ during the early 1980s. Cooperatively, he provided blood samples and disclosed the identities of 72 individuals he had engaged in sexual encounters with. Unfortunately, Dugas became a victim of demonization, falsely labeled as patient zero and unfairly stigmatized due to his perceived promiscuity.

“The movie is the movie, and the book is the book. They're different critters, and each must stand on their own merits.”
