Storyline
Following Jesse Stone’s dismissal from the Los Angeles Police Department, the story unfolds as he unexpectedly becomes a candidate chosen by the town’s board of selectmen to assume the role of police chief in Paradise, a quaint town situated on Boston’s North Shore. The board’s decision stems from their hope that his past setbacks will dissuade him from delving too deeply into the hidden truths and secrets concealed within the town.

“The biggest challenge of adapting the book was trying to make the inner lives of the characters legible through their outward actions.”
