Storyline
Sterling Brooks, a ruthless stockbroker, meets his demise in a strange golfing incident. He discovers from an angel on his route to paradise that his less-than-model life on earth did not win him a place in heaven. However, he is given another opportunity to persuade the man upstairs that he is an angel candidate. He is accused of defending Annie Campbell, a single mother, and her young son from mobsters hoping to prevent her from testifying against them in court.
