Storyline
A heartfelt exploration of families raising children who are deemed ‘abnormal’ by society. Through intimate portraits, the documentary follows a mother and her son with Down syndrome as they challenge the stereotypes around their condition; a couple as they navigate communication with their nonverbal autistic son; a young woman who is the only little person in her family; and parents who continue to love their son, even after he has committed a terrible crime.
