Storyline

Pearl is a typical 16-year-old vampire who enjoys blood, is allergic to sunlight, and is generally evil. However, after an attack allows her to survive in daylight, her powerful family sees an opportunity to use her new ability. They send Pearl to high school to collect young blood for an upcoming feast honoring the Vampire King. But Pearl starts to develop a conscience and becomes conflicted about giving her new friends, including a cute boy who she has feelings for, to be slaughtered. She must decide between loyalty to her family and her own morality.
