Storyline
Diego Alatriste, a Spanish soldier who supports the royal couple, utilizes his skill with a sword to help a military group that fights against atrocities committed during the Inquisition. He will be involved in conflicts, betrayals, romance, and secrets as a swordsman for hire, all of which are framed by the struggle for dominance during the Spanish Empire’s final Golden Age.
