Storyline
Ray Elwood, a soldier serving in the U.S. army during the waning years of the Cold War, finds himself battling only monotony. To keep himself occupied, he takes advantage of the thriving black market in West Germany, trading whatever goods he can acquire, all while his bumbling superior remains oblivious. However, when he becomes romantically involved with the daughter of the newly arrived sergeant, his previously flawless existence begins to unravel.
