Mario Claris is the successful co-owner of an engineering firm in Zurich. That makes it even harder for the reliable man to hear, that a bridge designed by him collapsed and took 43 men to their deaths. Mario’s feeling of guilt is so strong, that he decides to commit suicide in the mountains. A shepherd thwarts his plans, however. And through the love of Angela, the daughter of a country doctor caring for him, he finds his way back to life.
