The movie tells the story of Charley Benetto, a former baseball player who has hit rock bottom. He is divorced, estranged from his daughter, and on the brink of suicide. However, he is given one more day with his deceased mother, who he had blamed for leaving his father. Through her guidance, Charley revisits significant moments in his life and gains a clearer understanding of the truth behind his past experiences.
