The case concerned George Edalji, a Parsi lawyer who was jailed for sending obscene letters and killing livestock in Great Wyrley, Staffordshire. George sought Arthur’s assistance to clear his name, but as the case progressed, Arthur himself began to doubt George’s innocence.
