Bilbo Baggins the Hobbit was just minding his own business, when his occasional visitor Gandalf the Wizard drops in one night. One by one, a whole group of dwarves drop in, and before he knows it, Bilbo has joined their quest to reclaim their kingdom, taken from them by the evil dragon Smaug. The only problem is that Gandalf has told the dwarves that Bilbo is an expert burglar, but he isn’t.

The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, told through the perspective of B.A.H. Humbug, obviously a word play on Scrooge’s catch phrase, bah humbug. After Ebenezer Scrooge refuses to assist the poor or have Christmas Dinner with his nephew, he is visited by the ghost of his one time business partner and friend, Jacob Marley.

Grace Bennett is a New York University bound, Texas high-school student who works as a waitress with her best friend, high school dropout Emma Perkins to earn money for a trip to Paris after graduation. There, the hotel staff and paparazzi mistake Grace for the spoiled celebutante British heiress Cordelia Winthrop-Scott, Grace’s double, who leaves rather than stay to attend an auction for a Romanian charity for which she is to donate an expensive Bulgari necklace.

At Bilbo Baggins’s 129th birthday party in Rivendell, his nephew Frodo tells the story of the quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron. In Mordor, Frodo’s friend and companion Samwise Gamgee bears the Ring in Frodo’s absence as he ventures to rescue Frodo from the Orc fortress of Cirith Ungol. During his journey, Sam is tempted to claim the Ring for himself.
