Taking place during the 1920s and 1940s, amidst the picturesque setting of Oxford, artist Charles Ryder strikes up a friendship with Sebastian Flyte, a member of a wealthy English aristocratic family. Charles becomes entwined with their family affairs and frequents their grand estate known as Brideshead Castle.

In a time and place where discretion is still a man’s best friend, he falls in love with a mysterious woman, who will take him on the dark side of evil. The film centres around the joint CIA/MI6 real-life Operation Gold: building a tunnel under the Russian sector of Berlin.
