The adventures and misadventures of Nate Wright, an incompetent, spirited and rebellious sixth-grader. In the spirit realm, Oogway fights against his old comrade turned adversary, Kai, a spirit warrior yak, who has defeated all the other kung fu masters in the realm and taken their chi. However, Kai wanted the power for himself and tried to steal the pandas’ chi, forcing Oogway to banish him to the spirit realm by ending his life.

Gary, a resident of Smalltown, plans a vacation to Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Mary, to celebrate their tenth anniversary, inviting his brother Walter, a fan of the Muppets, who watched The Muppet Show throughout his youth, so he can tour the Muppet Studios. Mary accepts this, as she is a Muppet fan as well, but feels Gary’s devotion to Walter is distracting from their relationship.

In 1996, in Brantford, New Hampshire, teenager Alex Vreeke receives a board game called Jumanji from his father who discovered it half buried in sand at the coast while jogging. Fridge discovers Alex’s discarded video game system, which he and Spencer decide to play and encourage the girls to join them.

Alcoholic cartoonist John Callahan meets Dexter at a party, and the two get in a car. Dexter’s drunk driving results in a car accident, which leaves John quadriplegic. John falls in love with Swedish physical therapist Annu, who treats him at the hospital and later becomes his girlfriend. After he quits drinking with help from his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor Donnie, John builds a new life, drawing off-color newspaper cartoons.

Chosen as the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, Po is tasked with locating and mentoring a new Dragon Warrior. Meanwhile, an evil sorceress plots to resurrect all the formidable villains previously defeated by Po and banish them to the spirit realm.
