During a snowstorm, a killer traps a former mountain climber who has psychic powers and his fiancee in a New York skyscraper office building. In order to escape, they will have to face impossible odds by rappelling down the outside of the building as if it is a mountain.

The founder of virtual reality, Dr. Benjamin Trace, has lost a legal battle to secure a patent on the most powerful worldwide communications chip ever invented. Enraged, Jobe hacks into the subway’s system computer to send another train crashing into the one Trace and the teenagers are in, but Trace causes the runaway car to crash into a construction site instead.

The story follows Luce, a young woman sent to Sword and Cross, a cult-like rehabilitation facility, where she must serve time for a crime she doesn’t even remember committing.
