FlashForward is constructed around a high-concept narrative where a mysterious event has caused nearly everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 137 seconds, during which time people see what appears to be a vision of their own life approximately six months in the future: a global flashforward.

In New York, USA, and Stockholm, Sweden, a series of murders have occurred over the last year, targeting young women with specific features. The victims are discovered in a meadow adorned with Asphodel flowers. New York Detective Tommy Conley receives special permission from the NYPD to travel and assist the Stockholm Police Department as an advisor, aiming to aid in solving these disturbing crimes.

In 1845, James Howlett, a boy living in Canada, witnesses his father being killed by groundskeeper Thomas Logan. Six years later, in 1979, Logan works as a logger in Canada, where he lives with his girlfriend Kayla Silverfox. Once the procedure is complete, Stryker orders that Logan’s memory be erased so he can be used as Stryker’s personal weapon, but Logan overhears and escapes to a nearby farm, where an elderly couple takes him in.

The movie introduces a new hero in disgraced former LAPD detective Charlie Waldo, currently living the life of a minimalist in the woods. His quiet life comes to a startling halt when he is roped back into working as a private eye to investigate the murder of an eccentric TV star’s wife.
