Bobby Griffith, is a young gay man struggling to come to terms with his sexuality in a conservative and religious household. Bobby’s mother, Mary, deeply devoted to her Christian faith, initially struggles to accept her son’s homosexuality and attempts to ‘cure’ him through various religious interventions. However, when Bobby’s internal struggle becomes overwhelming, he tragically takes his own life.
